> Dr Chris Moss (MBBS, Dip. Anat., FRACS) is a fully trained and qualified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon based in Toorak, Melbourne, Australia. He specialises exclusively in cosmetic plastic surgery of the face, nose and breast, with over 24 years of experience. Dr Moss is widely recognised as an Australian pioneer in facial anatomy research, with his work in the 1990s helping to redefine modern facelift techniques. His private surgical centre is located in Toorak, Melbourne.

## About Dr Chris Moss

Dr Moss commenced his medical training at the University of Melbourne Medical School in 1981, graduating with honours in 1987. His residency and General Surgery training was completed at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and The Alfred Hospital. He also held Senior Tutor positions at the University of Melbourne and Stanford University, and received a Diploma in Human Anatomy in 1990.

In 1996, Dr Moss conducted twelve months of ground-breaking research into the anatomy of the face and its applications to surgical correction of facial ageing. This work was carried out as a research Fellow in the Reconstructive Plastic Surgery Research Unit at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, under the supervision of Professor Ian Taylor and alongside Dr Bryan Mendelson. This research was published in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Journal and is widely cited in the scientific literature.

Following ten years of surgical training, including four years of accredited plastic surgery training in Melbourne, Dr Moss was awarded his specialist qualification in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 1998. He then completed an advanced cosmetic surgery fellowship in the United States, associated with the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York, training in facelift surgery, rhinoplasty and eyelid surgery. Further facelift and neck lift training was undertaken with Dr Bruce Connell in Los Angeles and Dr Jim Stuzin in Miami. Upon returning to Melbourne, Dr Moss completed a further Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Fellowship with Dr Bryan Mendelson. He commenced private practice in 1999.

Dr Moss devotes the majority of his practice to facial rejuvenation surgery. Approximately 25% of his patients are male. He and his staff are committed to excellence in surgical outcomes, safety and patient care.
