Dr Chris Moss offers coolsculpting, liposuction (liposculpture), tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) and labiaplasty to improve the problem contours of your hips, thighs, tummy, face, neck and other problem areas.

Coolsculpting

Though liposuction surgery remains an option, we are pleased to offer our patients CoolSculpting® - a revolutionary non-surgical fat reduction technology.

Problem:
CoolSculpting® is designed to permanently remove fat cells from bulges of varying sizes from many areas including tummy fat, love-handles, ‘muffin tops’, thighs, and back fat.

Best Candidates:
The best candidates for CoolSculpting® are people near their ideal body weight who eat well and exercise regularly but have still not been able to achieve the body contour they desire. Contact us to check your suitability for this procedure.

How CoolSculpting® works
CoolSculpting® is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure that is clinically proven to effectively remove fat using a patented cooling technology. It gently freezes unwanted fat cells in problem areas which then causes their elimination by a natural process called apoptosis. This technology was designed at Harvard University to reduce unwanted fat in treated areas without harming surrounding tissue and with generally no downtime.

Liposuction

Can be performed on any part of the body to remove fat deposits and sculpt a more pleasing contour. This is not a substitute for an adequate diet and exercise programme, and is best for someone of normal weight with good skin tone but resistant problem areas. Several areas can be reduced at the same time. Because the fat cells are permanently removed the bulge cannot come back in that place. Your new figure should be used to improve your motivation to exercise and keep to a healthy diet.

Problem:
Unwanted fat deposits on the hips, inner and outer thighs, buttocks, chin, neck and upper arms. Hard to budge love-handles (flanks) and tummy bulges.

Best Age:
Thirties +

Dr Moss' Liposuction Technique:
Dr Chris Moss uses the "super-wet" variation of the tumescent liposculpture technique in order to soften the fat, minimise bruising and avoid the risk of any contour irregularity. Advanced liposculpture techniques with fine suction instruments and meticulous care are used for maximum skin toning and precise contouring. Ultrasonic liposuction is used only for treatment of specially fibrous regions such as the back. After the procedure a compression garment is worn for two weeks to speed recovery.

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)

Problem:
Excess loose skin and weak muscles of the abdomen. These problems can be caused by pregnancy and significant weight loss. An abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) is best performed on a person who is normal weight elsewhere in the body, but has skin looseness in the abdomen.

Solution:
Abdominoplasty produces a flatter, firmer tummy and a thinner waist. It is needed when there is loose skin or muscles as these cannot be adequately firmed by liposculpture alone. A tummy tuck may be performed at the same time as liposculpture to other areas.

Options

    1. Standard abdominoplasty:
A 'smile' shaped incision is made across the lower abdomen along the bikini line and a small incision is made inside the navel. Excess skin and fat is excised. The abdominal muscles can be tightened if they have weakened or separated after pregnancy. You will lose a couple of inches around the waist if your muscles have been tightened. A specially designed garment should be worn for up to 4 weeks following surgery but you will be glad for this support.

 2. Mini-abdominoplasty:

For minimal looseness isolated to the lower abdomen only, a mini-abdominoplasty can be performed necessitating only a single shorter incision running just above the pubic hair line.

Labiaplasty

Dr Chris Moss performs labiaplasty for women who desire a more complementary size and shape to their most intimate area.

Labiaplasty (also known as labia minora reduction or labial reduction) is a procedure that reduces elongated or uneven labia minora (the inner labia) to improve the external appearance of the vagina.

Some women have always been this way, while in many cases child birth, ageing or other causes can result in the extension of the inner vaginal lips. When this occurs, it may lead to a protrusion beyond the outer lips, commonly resulting in symptoms such as irritation while performing everyday activities or exercise, painful intercourse and difficulty wearing tight fitting clothing or undergarments.

Dr Chris Moss believes that all women have a right to feel comfortable and confident with their bodies and enjoy their sex lives. Women should not have to feel self-conscious or tolerate pain because of problems. With over 15 years of surgical experience in private practice, Dr Moss is a well-qualified expert in this field. The labiaplasty procedure usually lasts only one hour, is performed under general anaesthesia (you will be asleep through the entire procedure) and it can be  performed on day patient basis. After surgery any discomfort you may experience usually resolves within a few days and most of our patients are back at work within 3 - 7 days.
